Every other week mowing
A full visit every two weeks. A good fit for slower growing months and smaller yards that do not need a weekly cut.
When every other week makes sense
Grass does not grow at the same speed all year. In North Texas, warm-season lawns slow down as the weather cools in fall and they go mostly dormant in winter. In those slower months, a weekly cut can be more than the lawn needs.
Smaller yards are the other good fit. If there is less lawn to keep up with, a full visit every two weeks can keep it neat without paying for visits you do not need.
The honest trade-off
With two weeks between visits, the grass has more time to grow. In the fastest part of the growing season, that can mean the lawn looks a little fuller before the next cut, and it is harder to stick to the one-third rule (never cutting off more than about a third of the blade at once). If your lawn is growing fast, weekly is usually the better call. Not sure? Ask Joseph.
Same full visit
- Front and back yard mowing
- String trimming around beds, fences and trees
- Edging along sidewalks and driveway
- Blow-off of all hard surfaces
Every other week does not mean a lighter visit. You get the same four steps as the weekly plan. See what every visit includes.
