Large yards and corner lots
More lawn, more fence line, more sidewalk. Bigger yards and corner lots get the same full mow, trim, edge and blow-off on a weekly or every other week plan.
Bigger yards around Frisco
Some neighborhoods in Prosper, Frisco and McKinney have larger lots, and a bigger lawn grows a lot of grass in a Texas summer. More lawn means more ground to keep even, more beds and trees to trim around, and longer fence lines out back. It also means the yard can get away from you faster when you fall behind.
Why weekly fits most big yards in summer
On a large lawn, falling behind is not just a little shaggy. It is a lot of tall grass to cut back at once. The general one-third rule says not to remove more than about a third of the blade in a single cut, and on a big, fast-growing yard, the easiest way to follow it is to mow often. That is why weekly mowing is the usual pick for larger yards during the growing season. In slower months, every other week may be enough. Ask Joseph about your yard.
Corner lots: more edge to keep
A corner lot faces two streets instead of one. That usually means a longer run of sidewalk and a yard that people see from two directions. The lawn along those sides is the most visible part of the property, so a clean edge matters even more.
Every visit includes edging along the sidewalks and driveway, so the long sidewalk run on a corner lot stays crisp. Then the blow-off clears clippings from the driveway, sidewalks, walkways and patio.
More fence line, more trimming
Bigger backyards often come with long fences, more trees and more beds. String trimming around all of them is part of every visit, so the edges of the yard look as finished as the open lawn in the middle.
How pricing works
Pricing depends on yard size, so a larger yard or a corner lot is quoted for what it is. Quotes are always free. Send Joseph your address and how often you want it cut, and mention the corner lot or big backyard in the notes.
Homes, not commercial property
This page is about larger yards at homes. Coopers Mowing mows residential lawns, not commercial properties.
Mowing only. Coopers Mowing does not do landscaping, tree work, brush clearing, irrigation or commercial properties.
Does a bigger yard cost more?
Pricing depends on yard size, so a larger yard is quoted for its size. Quotes are always free.
Is a corner lot edged on both street sides?
Edging along the sidewalks and the driveway is part of every visit, so the sidewalk along both sides of a corner lot is included.
Weekly or every other week for a big yard?
In the growing season, weekly is usually the better fit for a large yard because there is so much grass to keep up with. Every other week can work in slower months.
