Mowing while you are away

Traveling for work, spending part of the summer somewhere else, or just gone a lot? Your regular weekly or every other week plan keeps going, so you come home to a cut lawn.

The lawn does not take a vacation

In a North Texas summer, Bermuda and St. Augustine can put on serious height in a week, especially after a rain. Leave for two weeks in July and you can come home to a yard that is shaggy and hard to cut. Cutting it back all at once can break the general one-third rule (do not remove more than about a third of the blade at a time) and leave the lawn brown for days.

That is why a mowing plan is so useful for people who travel. The lawn stays on its rhythm whether you are home or not.

Same plans, nothing special to set up

There is no separate vacation service. You use the same plans every customer does:

Every visit includes the full mow, trim, edge and blow-off, whether you are standing in the driveway or on the other side of the country.

What Joseph needs while you are gone

You never need to be home for a visit. Two things matter:

  • The yard is reachable. Leave the gate unlocked or share the code with Joseph before you go.
  • Pets are inside. If a pet sitter or neighbor is caring for your animals, ask them to keep pets in on mowing day.

It also helps to pick up hoses, toys and small items before you leave, so nothing is sitting in the grass. If anything about access changes while you are away, like a new gate code, text Joseph at 209-770-5768.

A house that looks cared for

A tall, uncut lawn is one of the clearest signs from the street that nobody has been around for a while. Keeping the yard mowed on its normal schedule keeps the house looking cared for while you are gone. It is a small thing, and one less thing to think about on the trip.

Coming back

If you want to change how often you get mowed once you are back, just let Joseph know.

Mowing only. Coopers Mowing does not do house checks, watering, plant care, yard cleanups or one-time cuts. The service is regular mowing on a weekly or every other week plan.

02 FAQ

Quick answers

All questions
Do I need to be home for mowing?

No. As long as the yard is reachable and pets are inside, you do not need to be there.

Can you just mow once while I am gone?

Coopers Mowing offers weekly and every other week plans, not one-time cuts. Your regular plan keeps going whether you are home or away.

Will you water the lawn or check on the house?

No. Coopers Mowing is mowing only. For watering, plant care or house checks, a neighbor or house sitter is the better fit.
